Ingredients for Sauce:
2 pounds of peeled, deveined shrimp (the biggest and best you can find)
6 cups of water
2 tablespoons of salt
2 lemons
1 bunch of parsley
2 pounds of ice
Cocktail sauce:
1/2 cup of primal kitchen ketchup
1 teaspoon of lemon zest
1 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoons of horseradish
1 teaspoon of Worcestershire
1/2 teaspoon of hot sauce
1/4 teaspoon of celery salt
Instructions for Sauce:
- Mix all together in a bowl, cover and refrigerate
- Garnish with parsley
Instructions for Shrimp:
- Prepare an ice bath with 1 lemon cut into wedges
- In a pot, add 6 cups of water, 1 lemon cut into wedges, the juice of one lemon and 2 tablespoons of salt
- Bring to a boil
- Turn off flame
- Add shrimp and cover
- When shrimp are just cooked through (about 4 minutes) strain and place in ice bath until cool
- Remove shrimp from ice bath and place on a towel to dry
- Cover and place in fridge until ready to serve
- Serve shrimp with sauce on the side
