Serves 2
3/4 cup Kroma porridge
3/4 cups unsweetened almond milk
1 tablespoon chia seeds
2 teaspoons maple syrup
½ tsp cinnamon
Pinch of ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract, optional
1/4 cup water
1 apple, cored and chopped small
1 cup raw walnuts, chopped
- Combine oats, almond milk, chia seeds, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract and water in a large bowl with a lid. Stir well to evenly mix. Cover and store in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or overnight, to set.
- Remove from the fridge. Give it a good stir to redistribute the chia seeds throughout the oat mix.
- Using two 12 oz jars with lids place a few spoonfuls of the oat mixture in the bottom of each. Then add a layer of diced apples followed by a layer of chopped walnuts and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Repeat until all ingredients are used up. Top with chia seeds, walnuts , and ½ teaspoon maple syrup.
