Cooler temps and back to school mean the start of cold + flu season is upon us. And the easiest, most delicious way to fight off all the nasties is with a colorful, nutrient-rich smoothie.
This particular one features a mega dose of antioxidants with raspberries, beets, and camu powder — a superfood berry from Peru that contains 60% more vitamin C than an orange.
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup chopped, raw red beet
- 1/3 cup frozen organic raspberries
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 2 Tbs. Navitas Organics hemp hearts
- 1 tsp. Navitas Organics camu powder
- 6 ounces cashew or coconut milk
- Toppings: bee pollen, raspberries, shredded coconut
Instructions:
- Place smoothie ingredients in high-speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
- Thin with additional milk one tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Pour into glass or bowl and top with bee pollen raspberries, and shredded coconut.
