Ingredients:
- 16oz of hanger steak
- 1/4 cup of brandy or cognac
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
- 4 tablespoons of cashew cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons of green peppercorns
- 4 sprigs of thyme
- 1 teaspoon of tapioca flour
- 1/4 cup of bone broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Heat a skillet on medium heat until hot
- Add olive oil and place steaks on hot skillet
- Sear on both sides until beautifully golden, about 3 minutes per side
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Take steaks off pan, turn heat down to low and add brandy or cognac
- Add cream cheese, thyme, peppercorns, tapioca flour and broth
- Let reduce by half on medium heat
- Slice meat, plate and top with pepper thyme sauce
