Turkey and Pecorino Meatballs in Tomato Sauce

Serves 3

Cook time 30 minutes

2lbs of organic ground turkey thigh
3 eggs
10 fresh basil leaves
2 tablespoons of grated pecorino cheese
1 lemon’s zest (just the yellow, not the white)
Salt and pepper to taste


  • Blend all ingredients with a hand blender until smooth
  • Put in a big ziplock bag, seal, and cut a 2-inch corner off, now you have a bag of meatball dough
  • Squeeze a large dollop of dough onto a non-stick baking pan, about 2 inches high and 4 inches wide to make your meatball
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until solid
  • Place meatballs in a pot and cover with Rao’s tomato sauce, finish baking for another 20 minutes
